Recent improvements in the golf course have included rebuilding, setting up irrigation and replacing the sand in all the bunkers on the course. The irrigation system has undergone a thorough examination and repair. Several of Sequoyah's greens have been rebuilt using more modern, sand-based techniques. The improvements to the course have been complemented by an extensive renovation and upgrading of Sequoyah's clubhouse and pro shop facilities. The Skyroom lounge has been rebuilt in an exterior style consistent with the original Spanish architecture of the main building. The pro shop has been expanded and is now located downstairs from the new Skyroom. Finally, the entrance to the building and the Grill Room, the casual dining area, have been completely redesigned and rebuilt. These structural and aesthetic improvements make the Sequoyah clubhouse one of the most impressive and beautiful buildings of any country club in the Bay Area.
